We’re making practical, eco-friendly changes wherever we can

We are an ESSA-accredited sustainable events supplier, working alongside our partners and suppliers to make practical, eco-friendly changes where we can.

Sustainability underpins everything we do, and we’re proud that’s reflected in our Tier 4 status in ESSA’s sustainability module. The sustainability accreditation highlights our sustainable approach and provides a framework and set of principles we can work towards.

Our processes, policies and management were scored against a criteria that is in line with ISO standards and show we are actively engaged in managing our sustainability.

How we’re reducing our carbon footprint

We are committed to improving and actively managing our own sustainability. Working alongside a set of principles supplied by ESSA, we want to help lead the way in sustainable events planning. Here’s what we’re doing:

Recycling

A mixed recycling bin allows us to recycle all milk bottles and packaging, and we use an onsite cardboard skip for all cardboard packaging.

Tree planting

We volunteered as part of an initiative to help increase green spaces, taking an active role in supporting our local environment and community.

Energy consumption goals

LED office lighting has been installed to reduce our electricity use and increase efficiency. We also downgrade our coffee machines to save power.

Helping the community

We’re proud to be active in our local community. This includes charity work and donating unused branded cups to St George’s Crypt so hot drinks can be served to the homeless.

Sustainable suppliers

We ensure our suppliers match our sustainability ethos. Items purchased are either recyclable or made from recycled materials.

Sustainable events planning

One of the biggest challenges with sustainability on the road is fitting in with the practices of different venues. To counter this, we now bring many of our materials back with us to recycle on-site. But that’s not all. Here’s what else we’re doing as sustainable events suppliers.

New bar panel material

We have changed to a reusable printed fabric material for branded bar panels. This retains the high print quality clients expect while limiting waste and reducing damage.

Recyclable cups

We’ve used recyclable cups for a very long time and all our drink cups can be disposed of ethically.

Smoothie consumables

All smoothies and juices are served in recyclable products. Lids and straws are optional, which we’ve found reduces their use hugely.

British sugar

We’ve switched to a UK sugar producer to reduce the carbon footprint of importing and to support the British sugar industry.

Local dairy

Milk is delivered by our local milkman. It comes from the Yorkshire Dales (Grassington) and is in recyclable packaging. We reuse the bottles back at the office too.

Teaming up for more sustainable events

Making the events industry more sustainable is not something that can be achieved alone. It’s important to team up on initiatives wherever possible.

Our sustainability goals

Continually track electricity usage and work to ensure average usage does not increase past 1100 units a month.
Monitor mileage and offset carbon emissions to make our travel carbon neutral by the end of 2024.
Adopt a zero waste to landfill policy for all custom branded items by 2025.
Reach Tier 5 in ESSA’s sustainability module by 2027.

Leading positive change with carbon offsetting

We’re taking meaningful action against climate change through carbon offsetting. As part of our commitment to sustainable events, we’ve partnered with Ecologi to make carbon offsetting simple and impactful.

We contribute to offsetting our travel emissions, and customers can choose to join us or go further by offsetting their entire event – from travel to equipment and ingredients. Through certified community projects worldwide, our offsetting creates lasting positive change by supporting initiatives like clean water access and efficient cookstoves.
