We're actively building our network of professional baristas throughout the UK.
If you’re a freelance barista living and working in the UK who’s looking for flexible additional shifts, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re a Leeds based mobile coffee company providing espresso bars for clients at exhibitions and events in major cities throughout the United Kingdom, with occasional opportunities in Europe for our established UK team members. We are a young, fast-growing, and ambitious company recognised for our personality and industry-leading customer service as well as the quality of our coffee.
YOU WILL
- Be legally entitled to work in the UK with a permanent UK address.
- Travel to venues across the UK with us as and when required. We work nationwide and are always seeking UK-based baristas who can support events in their local regions.
- Have the flexibility to work at various locations within your region of the UK.
- Produce our usual high standard of coffee and other beverages, to our specs and recipes.
- Be polite, chatty, friendly and accommodating. We pride ourselves on our “professional with personality” approach, so exemplary customer service is a must.
- Represent The Barista whilst always upholding our fantastic reputation. This includes wearing our uniform.
- Ideally, be passionate about speciality coffee, as well as friendly and sociable. Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous.
- Previous experience in UK hospitality is advantageous.
I enjoy working for The Barista as I get to travel up and down the country making great coffee with people who are such a laugh to work with! Freelancing also gives me the opportunity to work on my own schedule and develop my own personal projects.

- A good hourly rate of pay, alongside food and travel expenses. We pay our freelancers quickly, so freelancing for us is a perfect way to make extra money fast.

All our freelancers work with at least one full-time member of our UK-based team who will oversee running the event, and at busier events may work with other freelancers. We’re proud that many new friendships have been made within our core UK team and network of freelance baristas.
