SmartServe is ESSA’s Innovation of the Year 2019
You might have heard about SmartServe, the service we launched this year. It’s an event engagement tool that allows our customers to capture the data of all visitors who stop by for a coffee on stand. You can find out more about SmartServe here, including a useful video.
The clients who’ve already used SmartServe have been impressed with the results. It’s allowed them to check that visitors receiving a free coffee are relevant to their brand. But, more importantly, it’s provided them with a list of compliant, opted-in leads to take away from their event.
Here’s what one client had to say:
”SmartServe allowed us to really engage with our customers and provided us with valuable feedback that we can review and build on in the future. It also gave us a database of opted in contacts, meaning we could increase our interactions with our customers even further.” – Olympus Medical
The journey to SmartServe’s launch
The process to build and launch SmartServe involved a huge amount of planning, testing and hard work. It was a truly rewarding moment when we picked up the award for Innovation of the Year at the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) awards.
We’ve been active ESSA members for the nearly 7 years now and our membership is important to us. It represents our commitment to maintaining high standards in everything we do, as well as providing the opportunity for us to meet other suppliers from within our industry.
It means a lot to be recognised specifically for the innovation that went into SmartServe, because that’s exactly what we set out to achieve. We wanted to shake up the way we deliver our coffee bars and create another way for clients to digitally interact with their customers and prospects on their stands.
The world of exhibitions and conferences has continued to stay relevant by embracing new technologies. We’re pleased to have brought this approach to our services and we’re looking forward to even more of our clients benefitting from SmartServe in the near future.
Samuel Fletcher, Co-founder & Director of The Barista, had this to say about the award win:
“It’s been an incredible experience to watch an idea turn into an award-winning service in the space of just 12 months. The priority has always been to provide a useful tool and deliver extra value for our clients and this recognition is the icing on the cake. SmartServe is the result of a lot of hard work and vision from the team, so it’s hugely satisfying to see it already become a success.”
It’s worth noting that this is the first iteration of SmartServe and we’re currently developing version two. We’ve designed SmartServe for our clients, so it’s important we listen to client feedback and keep adapting the service to better suit them. The updated version will be released in the new year.
Keep your eyes peeled!
