Renowned fashion house Coach were looking to create a luxurious in-store experience for their shoppers at their Regent Street location. They turned to The Barista to provide a pop-up coffee shop over three weekends in March and April. Our friendly team of professional baristas served up delicious, freshly made coffee drinks that perfectly complemented Coach’s high-quality brand.

THE REQUIREMENT

Inspired by a similar concept at a Coach store in New York City, Coach’s objective was to offer a memorable coffee bar service for their flagship London store. They specified one branded coffee bar serving a streamlined menu of lattes, iced lattes and hot chocolates with vanilla, hazelnut and caramel syrup options. Coach also provided branded coffee cup sleeves to enhance the overall brand experience. The service needed to run across three consecutive weekends, creating a buzz around the brand and increasing footfall.

THE CHALLENGE

With the event spanning multiple weekends, efficiently transporting and setting up the coffee bar equipment was a potential hurdle we faced. Having to break everything down after each weekend and take it back to our base in Leeds would have been a frustrating logistical challenge in the heart of London. Luckily, we were able to leave the kit onsite and in storage at Coach. The coffee machine was still broken down and packed away at the end of each event, but remained in London rather than coming back north, significantly helping the logistics of the events.

The pop-up was a “great success” in Coach’s words, serving over 500 drinks across the three weekends. Customers loved the delicious coffee and friendly service. Coach complimented our team for their collaboration with the in-store team, and reported receiving many lovely reviews on the overall service.  

The event was quite different from our regular services at conferences and exhibition centres, and it was unique to be back at the same venue so frequently. As we’re used to seeing clients once or twice a year, it was amazing to work with the same team three weeks in a row. It allowed us to improve service week on week and implement changes quickly.   

Our team worked closely with Coach to leave the coffee bar set up onsite between service weekends, streamlining operations. The vibrant branded bar complemented Coach’s seasonal colour palette, matching one of their bag colours for effective brand alignment. Our baristas provided the high-quality service we’re known for, engaging with customers and leaving a lasting brand impression.
