THE REQUIREMENT

CIE Group came to us with a challenge for The Security Event 2024 at the NEC, Birmingham. They wanted to create a coffee bar experience on their exhibition stand, with an inviting coffee shop atmosphere that would draw in guests and boost their brand presence. They needed a full-service barista set up, complete with quality drinks and themed branding elements to bring the coffee shop concept to life in the exhibition space.

THE CHALLENGE

As this was our fourth time working with CIE Group, we were able to really hit the ground running. Set up was smooth and efficient. The stand designers had meticulously planned the space to mirror a relaxed and inviting coffee shop – complete with a dedicated area for our barista service. The realistic, welcoming theme was a big draw at the event, and the stand was a bustling hub of activity for much of the three days.

While the increased foot traffic was great, it did present a set of challenges. We needed to manage the high demand efficiently and professionally, never compromising the prompt and friendly service we’re known for – no small feat in such a busy environment.

We arrived at the NEC the day before the event, giving us plenty of time to set up. We provided our barista service as well as nine trays of brownies. Branded cappuccino stencils were used for that personalised touch.

Over the course of the event, we served up 496 drinks. The brownies were a hit with guests and the custom cappuccino stencils added a unique personalised element. CIE Group received glowing reviews about the coffee bar. It drew in crowds, creating a memorable experience and helping CIE Group make a great first impression.

Despite a busy few days, our team managed the event with professionalism and a smile on their faces, always maintaining a high standard of service. CIE Group was impressed with the quality of our services and the post-event feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

This is the fourth time we have worked with CIE Group, and it is always a pleasure. They really embrace the coffee bar theme and run with it, which shows their confidence in our ability to deliver a service that matches their high-end stand design.
